  • Students will illustrate a classic story, providing a personal vision of the text through their images 


    Students will start out learning the fundamentals of digital illustration, using the industry’s leading software  Adobe Photoshop and project-based learning.

  At the end of the term, students will have a portfolio of illustrations and develop a final project piece.

Every image we see in media today is created using digital photography and image editing software. Whether students are considering a graphic design career or curious about how it all works this course will give them a deep dive into the fundamentals.

              What Students Create

  • Students will create a surrealist photo manipulation art or a movie poster using provided materials.

  •  At the end of the course participants will receive a book with all the artworks created during the course.

                 What Students Learn

  • Students will start out learning the fundamentals of photo editing and graphic design, using the Adobe Photoshop and project-based learning. They will learn the design process, color theory

  • Learn about composition, Lightning, Reflection, Shadows and more! How to create the look of consistent lighting.

  • Learn how to add text to images



Develop an understanding of the storytelling and character animation process with the industry-standard software, Adobe Photoshop and Character Animator. Students will learn how to bring characters to life. We’ll teach you a workflow that will take pre-rigged models and animate them in an original short sequence that tells a story.

                 What Students Learn

  • Character Development: understanding character design helps students to better communicate ideas, emotion, and purpose through beautiful character animations. Principles of proportions and exaggeration. Posture and stance, scale and texture.

  • We'll cover mouth shapes, layer placement, syncing an audio track to lips or creating your own audio for your puppet to voice, adding physics for more life-like movement, creating custom puppets and even walk cycles.​

              What Students Create

  • Student will create their own motion capture puppets using Adobe Character Animator and Photoshop. Record voiceover or sync pre-existing dialogue to their puppet's mouths.
